CounterCode records both unique visitors to a web page, as well as additional 'hits' from visitors that have already been recorded.
These different statistics are reflected on the statistics page.
The Total Visitors value shows the number of unique visitors to the site, while the Total Hits value shows the number of pages that were viewed by all visitors.
